Obituary of Deborah Smith
It is with profound sadness the family of Debbie Smith of Napier, Ontario announces her peaceful passing in her 62ndyear, on November 11th, 2018, with family by her side at Strathmere Lodge after challenging years of living with Alzheimer’s.
Beloved wife of Doug Smith of 37 years. Loving mother of Kimberly (Rob) Vos, Stephanie (Patrick) Sanders, and Kurtis (Bridget) Smith. Proud Grandma of Cameron, Eva, Brooklyn and Jackson. Cherished sister of Steven (Brenda) Thomson. Daughter of the late Lyle and Viola Thomson. Pre-deceased by her son Kerry.
Debbie will be sadly missed by many cousins, aunts & uncles, extended family and friends.
Debbie was a dedicated community member serving as treasurer of the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Past President of the Napier Women’s Institute, and volunteer for many events and organizations.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 14th, 2018 from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. and 7:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 15th at 11:00a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Napier and the Napier Woman’s Institute.
