David Malcolm McNutt
1955-2018
McNutt, David Malcolm, 63, Upper North River, Colchester
County, passed away peacefully, Thursday, October 18, 2018 in the
Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in New Glasgow, he
was a son of the late Elwood and Olive (McLean) McNutt. David was a
kind and gentle man who looked after his mother for many years while
she battled Alzheimer’s. After his mom’s passing,
he worked for Robinson’s Candy until cancer prevented him
from continuing his employment. David’s nickname was
“Super Dave” and would do anything for
anyone.
He is survived by his sisters, Carol (Edwin) MacQuarrie,
Susan, Jean (Doug) Frizzell; sister-in-law, Leona McNutt; Nephew John;
nieces, Lisa, Angie, Ashley, Katelyn; great-nephew, AJ; great-nieces,
Emma, Charley, Kasey.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Allan;
two sisters in infancy.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mattatall~Varner
Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro from where a Celebration of Life
will take place on Monday, Oct. 22, from 4 – 6 pm.
No flowers by family request. Donations in memory may be made to the
Blackmore Memorial Cemetery, Upper North River or to the
Alzheimer’s Society. Private messages of condolence may be
