Death Notice
GODIN, David (Dave) Wilfred – Dave Godin, 63, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2018 at his home in London, Ontario surrounded by his loved ones. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his wife Susan and his children Chris and Victoria. He was the son of the late Wilfred (2012) and Georgette (2007) Godin. He will be missed by his sisters Michelle (Bob) Mitchell, Bonnie (Fraser) Cartwright, and his brother Len (Nancy). Dave will also be fondly remembered by his in-laws Paul and Eva Goud, Andrew (Cathy) Goud, Jeff (Pat) Goud, Linda (Derek) Longman and Stewart (Margaret) Goud and his numerous nephews and nieces.
Dave proudly served in the Armed Forces for 27 years before retiring in London in August 2000. After a brief break, Dave joined the team at McCabe Promotional Advertising Inc., leaving in 2014 after being diagnosed with ALS.
We will all miss Dave’s quick wit and sense of humour. He loved saying and doing the unexpected and making people laugh.
Visitation on Wednesday from 7-9 pm at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond. A memorial service will be held at Bellamere Winery, 1260 Gainsborough Road, Hyde Park on Thursday, May 17 at 1 pm with a Celebration of Life reception to follow.
On September 22, 2018 Dave’s family and friends will be walking in the London WALK for ALS in honour of Dave. To join the Godin’s Gang team or to make a donation to the ALS Society (through the WALK for ALS) click DONATIONS at the right side of the computer screen.
