October 23, 1931 – December 19, 2018
Former long-time Kelowna resident, Donald Hait, passed away suddenly but peacefully in Burnaby General Hospital Emergency in the early evening, Wednesday, December 19, 2018. He was predeceased by his wife, Joanne, in October 2014 and is survived by five children: Dawne Bohme (Dennis), Aaron (Carla Marie), Lance (Christina Bleskie), Andrea Karpinsky (John), Lois de Bruijn (Mark), and thirteen grandchildren. Donald leaves behind seven of his eight siblings and will be remembered by many extended family members and friends. The family thanks the staff of Cypress Grove Village, New Vista Care Home in Burnaby, BC for their patient and loving care for Donald for the past three and a half years.

Those wishing to pay respects may do so on Thursday, January 3, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at First Memorial. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2018 at 10:00 am at First Memorial Funeral Services, 1211 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna. Donald will be laid to rest with his beloved wife Joanne at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 2850 Dry Valley Road, Kelowna, BC.
