Cowie, Edwin Cecil “Cece”
September 17th, 2018
Peacefully at LHSC – University Hospital, on September 17, 2018, at the age of 88. Beloved husband of 64 years to Pauline. Cherished father of Wendy Schweig, Kimberly (Ken) Lumpkin, and Tracey Cowie. Proud Poppa of Stephanie Schweig, Thomas and Mason (Savannah) Michalcewicz, Megan Simpson, Leslie and Dana Burke. Devoted Poppa Cece to Alex. Cece will be missed by his siblings; Eileen (Rene) Pitrie, Lloyd (Diane) Cowie, and Rita Allan. Predeceased by his son-in-law, Vern Schweig; siblings Len Cowie, Vera Frederickson, Doris Johnson, and Marion Griffith. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends, and his furry canine companion, ‘Blondie’. A funeral service will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., with friends being received by the family one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, September 24, 2018, at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Cece are asked to consider the London Humane Society, or a charity of your choice.
