Collin David Christopher Zonneveld
January 19, 1994 – September 8, 2018
Collin passed away on September 8, 2018 at the age of 24. Collin was born in White Rock, British Columbia on January 19, 1994 and moved to Nanaimo about a year later. He attended Randerson Ridge Elementary School and then graduated from Dover Bay Secondary School in 2012. Since then, Collin worked at a number of different jobs, including food service, delivery services, construction, landscaping, etc.
Collin lived life to the fullest, enjoying most sports, but excelling at soccer and lacrosse. Happiest times were when he was spending time with family and friends. He loved to camp at the river and enjoyed fishing, swimming, and just being outdoors. He was a free spirit who easily befriended everyone he met and had an infectious smile and hearty laugh that will not be soon forgotten.
Collin will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his mother Tammy, father David, and his siblings Laura-Ashley, Trevor, Hailey, and his grandparents Barb and Jim Lewis, Casey and the late Janice Zonneveld, Keith Nixon, Trevona and the late Tom Bedford, as well as all of his other relatives and numerous friends.
He was something special and we will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life reception is being held in the Nanaimo Curling Centre banquet room, 106 Wall Street, Nanaimo on Sunday, September 23rd starting at 2:00.
