Peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, Colleen Gunby (nee Ellerker) of Napanee, Ontario. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Kim MacGregor (Allan) of Napanee, Cheryl Snell (Bill) of Rockwood, Catherine O’Grady (Mark Robinson) of Ottawa and Melissa McGrath (Steve) of Monkland; grandchildren Alysha, Eric, Emily, Callum, Holly, Sarah, Iain and Nathan; great-grand children Sadie and Colton; sister Dorothy Holyrold (the late Michael) of Brantford; brothers Shaun Ellerker (late Barbara) of Jarvis, Martin Ellerker (Marlene) of Sebring, Florida, and Leslie Ellerker (Lori) of Hagersville; and many nieces and nephews. Colleen will also be dearly missed by her beloved companion, Cooper. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, Clarence, and her siblings, Olive, Barry and Brian. Born in Scarborough, Yorkshire, England January 4, 1942, Colleen emigrated with her family to Canada in 1954. Colleen and Clare settled in Napanee to raise their family, where they were owner/operators of Napanee Dry Cleaners and Uniform Rentals. They enjoyed many years entertaining at their home on Hay Bay, travelling the world and living life to its fullest. In keeping with Colleen’s wishes, a celebration of life is to take place from 1 pm to 4 pm, Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Selby Community Hall,114B Pleasant Drive, Selby, Ontario. Those who wish may make memorial donations in honour of Colleen to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
