It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christina Shewan at the age of 71. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years Bruce, children Anthony and Dawn (Derek), grandson Wyatt, and brother John (Pat), as well as many extended family and friends.
Christina was born and lived in Thunder Bay when she met Bruce. They moved to Victoria in 1971 to start their family. She was a long -time active member of Lutheran Church of the Cross as well as working in the office for 20 years where she enjoyed meeting people and forming wonderful friendships. She will be remembered for her cheeky sense of humor, a warm greeting, a friendly chat, always having her knitting with her, and love for her family but especially her grandson Wyatt.
A service will be held at Lutheran Church of the Cross on Saturday March 24 at 11 am. 3787 Cedar Hill Rd.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Lutheran Church of the Cross Mortgage Reduction Fund.
