OBITUARY
Cheryl Boonstra
September 6, 1962 – November 30, 2018
Passed away at the age of 56 surrounded by family on November 30, 2018 in Port Alberni, BC.
Predeceased by her grandparents and her father. Survived by her loving family, her mother, two brothers and two sisters and their partners; three children and their partners; two grandsons and one granddaughter in law; 3 granddaughters; one great grandson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Calgary, Cheryl grew up with a love of dancing and song. Just a year ago, she was dancing in Mexico on a family holiday. She was an avid lover of all things outdoors, including salmon fishing, camping and travel. Cheryl was a friend of the environment and the earth and advocated for it always.
She was a very strong, loving and devoted mother and she was a person that would help anyone in need. She always fought for the underdog. Cheryl held a wealth of friends who knew her as a kind loving heart.
Cheryl was known to be a very hard worker and opened and operated a cleaning business for many years. She was loved by all of her family and friends, who will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cheryl’s memory can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation for research.
