Born October 5, 1950 to Mervin and Wylo Stewart, Dianne passed peacefully while surrounded by her entire family at home on May 18, 2018. She is survived by her husband and true love Brock; ever-grateful children Jesse (Catherine), Dylan (Andrea), and Reid; kindred grandchildren William and Charlotte; dear siblings Doug and Deryl; and loving nephew Sean, and grand-nephew Gabriel. We were all so lucky to be illuminated by Dianne’s light – an endless well of compassion, courage, and emotional fortitude. In 35 years as an RN she fiercely protected anybody willing to accept help, often seeking out good in people that they themselves had misplaced. Throughout her life, Dianne has sewn together a tapestry of incredible friends – and while some are farther apart from others on her quilt, the effervescent fabric that was her love will keep them together. As displayed by her glee upon learning it was her 21st birthday from a Serbian border agent while riding her motorcycle, Disie didn’t need much from this world – but that didn’t stop her from giving as much, and as often as she could. The family offers our sincere thanks and respect to all healthcare workers, regardless of how direct/peripheral their role. As well our endless gratitude to all family friends who have cushioned each bump in the road with solace and grace.
