The passing of Charles “Charlie” Neil Cameron, of Fredericton, NB, husband of Winnifred “Winnie” (Morton) Cameron, occurred on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.
Born on December 6, 1938 in Saint John, NB, he was a son of the late Neil and Madeline (Brewer) Cameron.
Charlie was an Engineering Technician with the Department of Transportation.
He was a past member of the Masonic Lodge and of the Shriners, a past hockey referee and avid Montreal Canadiens and Boston Red Sox fan.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Connie Cameron of Fredericton, NB; his sons, Brad (Roxanne) and Tim Cameron both of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Jamie (Jill), Drew (Brenda) and Coady Cameron (Sarah Johnson) Born: December 6, 1938 all of Fredericton, NB; great grandchildren, Audrey and Claire; sisters-in-law, Ann Death: July 11, 2018 Cameron, Isabel Morton (Kent Tompkins), Karen Morton Peacock (Gregg), Amber Ashworth (David), Bonnie Morton and Darlene Morton (Robert); brothers-in-law, Allen (Sandra), Dale (Carolyn), Darwin (Marie) and Blair Morton along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was predeceased by his brother, Walter and brother-in-law, Winston Morton.
Family and Friends will gather at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses who have provided exceptional care to Charlie over the years.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
