Obituary of Catherine Barker
Catherine “Kitty” Barker
November 18th, 1935 – December 17, 2018
Heaven has a new angel Catherine (Kitty) left us to be with her husband Edward (Ted) on Monday, December 17th at Parkview Long Term Care in her 84th year.
Devoted and adoring Mum of Carol (Scott) Griffin, Gail (Brian) Fair, Susan (Tommy) Galley, Keith (Debbie) Barker, Lynn (Ron) Kalinich and devoted Grandma to Sarah, Michelle, Kyle, Cody, Mandy, Justin, Joey, Christopher, Cory and six great Grandchildren. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years Ted (Edward) parents Eleanor and William Jones and Grandson Kyle Fair, brothers Billy, Steve, Bobby, Evan and big sister Nellie. Survived by sister Irene and many nieces, nephews, family and friends in England. The family would like to thank the Parkview Staff for all their excellent care, compassion and respect shown to Kitty and entire family while Kitty was a resident there till the end. Much love to all the staff on Maplegrove we will miss you as you have been our extended family. Family and Friends are asked to please join the family at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street North, (Markham Road), Markham, Ontario on Thursday, December 20th between 6 pm and 9pm for Visitation and Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel on Friday, December 21st at 11:00 am followed by a reception. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in Kitty’s memory to Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Children’s Wish Foundation.
