In Loving Memory
Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Queensway Carelton Hospital on December 28th at the age of 65 following a lengthy illness. Loving mother of Cassandra and Alexis and cherished grandmother of Quinton and Jordan. Dear sister of Glenna Allport (Tom), Barbara, Debby MacGregor (Gary), Jim (Michelle), Chris (Nicole) and Greg (Alia). Fondly remembered by former husband, John Peel, who remained very much a part of her life, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Stuart and Theresa Astles (née Grattan).
Catherine lived most of her adult life in Ottawa where she worked as a legal assistant for various firms. She was active with the school board, her Church, the CWL and enjoyed singing in the choir and as a soloist. Those who knew her well, knew that her true passion in life was her family. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, Walkley Chapel, 1255 Walkley Rd, Ottawa, K1V 6P9, 613-731-1255, on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 10:30 to 11:30 am. A Catholic service will follow in the chapel.
