Obituary for
Caroline Scherger
Caroline Scherger was born on November 5, 1926 in Macklin, Saskatchewan to William and Petronella Ermantrout. She was the second youngest of nine children. She left school at an early age to help out on the family farm.
In 1940 she met Valentine Scherger, they courted for four years and were married on November 7, 1944. In 1945 Caroline and Val started their family.
On August 14, 2018, Caroline passed away peacefully at the Provost Health Center at the age of 91 years.
Caroline leaves to mourn her children, Gabriel (Alma) Scherger, Marilyn (Francis) Moran, Janice (Robin) Hooper and Brian (Debbie) Scherger; daughter in-law, Nora Scherger; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 9 great great Grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Caroline was predeceased by her husband, Valentine; son, Alvin; parents, William and Petronella; and all of her eight siblings.
Family and friends are invited for a time of fellowship and refreshments on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gregory’s Funeral Home.
