Obituary for
Carole Johannesson
Johannesson, Carole Anne died peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, surrounded by family, on May 27, 2018, just short of her 84th birthday.
An artist and English specialist, who loved the hot sun, a cool swim and a good book, Carole dedicated herself to the fine arts of nurturing a family and creating a loving home. She cherished close friendships gained through associations with Royal Bank, Glenmore (Montreal) and Oakville Curling Club and Oakville Golf Club. She was a loyal volunteer at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital Gift Shop for over 35 years.
Predeceased by the love of her life, James E. (Jimijo), parents Harold A. and Ella (Hope) Huston and sister Patricia Rasmussen. Survived by sons David (Mary) and Michael (Catherine) and daughter Karen Furster (Victor), grand children Daniel and Laura, Michelle and James, Taylor, Emma and Vee-Anne and great granddaughter Jazzlyn.
In lieu of flowers, we request donations be made in her memory to Oakville Hospital Foundation or Diabetes Canada.
Following a private family gathering, a Celebration of Life will be held at Oakville Golf Club, 1154 Sixth Line, Oakville ON L6H 6M1 from 1:00 to 3:00 on Saturday, June 2nd.
