Obituary of Carol Champ
It is with great regret the family of Carol Champ (Thirsk) announce her sudden passing on September 7th, 2018 at the young age of 71. Carol was the first child of Frederick and Violet Thirsk born on June 6, 1947, in Tisdale Saskatchewan. Carol worked many hours beside her parents catering many large events. She worked at Church Hill Greenhouse for many years, she was always the one to let you know which plant was what and where it would go; she was the green thumb of the family. She is predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Violet Thirsk; her infant son, Trevor Champ; sister-in-law, Shirley Thirsk; and nephew, Ryan Thirsk. Carol is survived by her son, Rick Thirsk; grandchildren, Austin, Hailey (great-grandchildren, Violet and Ivy) and Bryce; her sons, Darcy Farnham, and John (Genelle) Champ; grandchildren, Brayden (Courtney), Brodie, and Brooklyn; her son, Kevin Champ; grandchild, Jacob; and her only daughter, April Farnham; grandchildren, Ryley and Chandler; and brothers, Dale Thirsk and Richard Thirsk; Aunt Norma Thompson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service will be held in the W. J. Jones Chapel, on Wednesday September 19, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Reverend Dave Moore will officiate. Interment at Rosedale Cemetery to follow. Memorial Donations can be made to the Riverside Mission (40 Manitoba Street East, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 0A2) or a charity of choice. In living memory of Carol, a memorial tree planting will be made by W.
