OBITUARY
Carol Elizabeth Johnson
December 11, 1917 – December 22, 2018
Carol Elizabeth Johnson (nee Teal), born in Fort Erie, Ontario, December 11, 1917, passed away on December 22, 2018 in Kitchener-Waterloo in her 102nd year.
Her final days were peaceful with family at her side. Carol married Jonas Gordon Johnson in 1946 (deceased in 1962), moved to British Guiana in 1947 where she lived until 1962. She was a nursing sister in the RCAF, a graduate of Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario , taught the nursing assistant program in Pembroke and Listowel Ontario then finished her career as nurse and matron at Trinity College School in Port Hope. She is survived by Carolyn Johnson-Trotter of Kingston, Ontario, Robert Gordon Johnson (Andrea) of San Antonio, Texas, and Kathryn Marie Haddock of Kitchener-Waterloo. Her grandchildren are Richard Johnson (Ashley Walters), Rachel Johnson (Jeff Baker), Colin Johnson, Nathan Haddock (Tricia Sicard), Jesse Haddock (Susan), Kailey Haddock and Gordon Trotter. She is also survived by great grandchildren Nolan, Sydney, Tessa and Jonas. Carol had an adventurous spirit and travelled widely to serve others. She was a loving mother and grandmother who always put the needs of her family above her own. Carol was an avid reader, loved to play bridge, enjoyed hiking, and cooked up a mean Sunday dinner for family. Consider contributing to the Canadian Cancer Society or Queen’s University Alumni Association. She will be cremated with a celebration of her life at a later date.You’re home now, Mom.
