With heavy hearts, the family of Carl Lounsbury announces his passing, which occurred at home on Friday, September 21, 2018. Carl was born in Salisbury on November 3rd, 1940; a son of the late Bertha and King Lounsbury, and the loving husband of Elsie (Craig) Lounsbury. In addition to his wife Elsie, Carl is survived by his daughters Donna (Brian) Verner, Dianne Legere, and Linda (Jack) Miller, brother Leonard Lounsbury, sisters Mildred Allain (Claude), Doreen Carpenter, Elsie Mackenzie, Alice Lewis, half-sister Mavis Berube, as well as grandchildren Christopher, Jonathan, Travis, John, Jaclynn, Tara (Keith), and a great-grandson, Dylan Fogerty. Along with his parents, Carl was pre-deceased by his brother, Gerry Lounsbury, and sister Sadie Taylor. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424). Although there will be no visitation, a celebration of Carl’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69, 714 Wilson Street (Saint John West) on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
