Calvin Nippard

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Calvin Phillip “Nipper” Nippard age 69, on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at the Northside General Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Calvin was born in Lewisporte, Newfoundland, May 29, 1949, he was the son of the late Alexander and Nora (Burry) Nippard. He was employed for a number of years as a fisherman.
Calvin is survived by his wife Rebecca “Becky” (McGean), his children Joanne (Tommy), Steven (Joyce), Crystal, Natasha (Stephen), Jackie (Marsha), Brandy (Jason), his twelve grandchildren Chris, Bryan, Taylor, Cheyanne, Dylan, Austin, Jadyn, Shailynn, Corbyn, Owen, Jersey and Miranda, as well as six great grandchildren, also by his five sisters Fronnie, Triffie, Murtle, Glenda, Winnie, Hersey, four brothers Artie, Malcolm, Truman and Tony, a number of nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents Calvin was predeceased by his first wife Ann Marie (Wilson), sisters Ina Reid and Dorothy Remo, brother Morley Nippard.
By request there will be no visitation. A family service will be held 11 am Tuesday, October 9th in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.wjdooley.com .
