5 mars 2018
Brian John Burchmore died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, March 5, 2018, age 72. He was the beloved partner of Marilynn Prittie. Loving father of Sarah (Mike Paluch), Emily (Wade Peterson) and Norah (Brent Benson). Cherished Guapo of Henry Paluch, Nate and Charlotte Peterson and Jack and Lauren Benson. Predeceased by his parents Homer and Frances Burchmore. Survived by loving sisters Cindy Nedin (Mike) and Liz Chapman (Glen) and brother Bruce (Mary Wheelton). He will be missed by his niece andnephews, Marilynn’s family, and friends. He grew up in Windsor which he said accounted for his life-long interest in cars and support of the Detroit Tigers. He loved nature and was a talented gardener. He spent most of his working life in the Accounting Department of Dow Chemical in Sarnia with a five year stint at their offices in Midland, Michigan. The family would like to thank Dr. Jeney and nurse Julia for their wonderful care.
Brian moved to Toronto nearly six years ago and was grateful for the warm welcome he received at St. Giles Kingsway Presbyterian Church, Etobicoke. According to his wishes a family celebration of his life will take place there. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Living Trust Fund – St. Giles Kingsway Presbyterian Church, 15 Lambeth Road, Etobicoke would be appreciated.
