He was such a TERRIFIC Toledo Goaldigger hockey player!!
Eternal rest grant unto Bob, O Lord, and let Perpetual Light Shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through The Mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Loved Bob like a brother. We did hockey tournaments together at his hockey bar/rink in Mannheim, Germany. My god we did have fun. He touched so many lives here and he will be loved and missed always.
He got me into arena announcing and because of him, I’ve done over 500 hockey games from 10U up to the IIHF.
Love you Sully!
Im so sad, always wanted to reconnect from our old hockey days.
We were like brothers in our playing days.
We won a cup together, lived together, travelled from Ohio to Los Angeles to play together.
I have so many fond memories of us and our shenanigans.
I feel like a piece of me is gone, I will remember you forever.
I hope we can play together on the same team one day when I join you my friend.
As for today, I send my sincere condolences to your family and friends.
Your teammate and friend forever, Jeff Allan.
Bob was a special hockey player and person. Not many players have ever scored 20 goals in the NHL and 20 in the AHL the same year. I witnessed him break the AHL all time record of 34 consecutive games with a point (unofficial). He was a great friend and loved life to its fullest. I know he never took a day off to be happy and positive with any one around him. I miss you Bob and will think of you today..actually if I can find a rum and coke I will have a sip with you!
