Forever Loved
On July 31, 2018, a precious soul went home to heaven. We are left to reflect on the love and life of a remarkable women. Blanche Elaine Martin, a woman who lovingly influenced and nurtured generations of lives with her kindness, guidance and an abundance of love in her heart and deeds.
We honour her many years of Volunteer Services with her children`s schools, the Alberta Women`s Institute, the Seniors Care Centre, the Colchester community league, Colchester and District Agricultural Society and to many others, family and friends in times of need. We cherish the depth of her love and her giving spirit.
Blanche leaves hundreds of family and friends to miss her generous heart and her welcoming open arms. She leaves, to mourn her loss, her proud children, Rozanne, Elaine (Roger), Wayne (Sheila), Marilyn, Lucy (Greg) and Jim (Janice). Blanche (Gran) (GiGi) adored her 10 grandchildren and their spouses and her 14 great grand children, she loved to see them come for visits.
Also missing Blanche will be her brothers, Maxwell, Sandy, and Walter; sisters, Roselle, Sylvia, Jeanette, Sister-in-laws, Joan, Donnie, Gerry, Olive and Beatrice. Along with many, many nieces and nephews that she cherished so.
Blanche leaves to join those she loves; her husband Wilfred, her granddaughter Melanie, her parents, parents-in-law, her sister Kathy, her brother Norman and her brother-in-laws, Harold, John, Mike, Don, Michael and Archie, two sisters-in-law Kay and Evelyn. This includes many other family and friends she will be very busy catching up with them all.
Those who may wish to pay their final respects to Blanche may do so on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Glenwood Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held August 11, 2018 at 10:00 am at Glenwood Funeral Home, 52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park, Alberta.
If you wish, Donations may be to the Strathcona County Food Bank, the Sherwood Care Centre or a charity of your choice.
