On November 10, 2018, Bill passed away suddenly but peacefully at the University of Alberta Hospital.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years Violet; sons Stanley (Carolyn) and Cedar (Michelle); daughter Maylee (Kenneth) Kwan; grandchildren Jonathan (YoYo), Matthew (Christina), Harrison, Keira, Kysan, and Kyra; great-grandchildren Gloria and Violet “Baby Vee”; sisters Dan Kwai, Nancy, and Bernies. Bill will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Bill was predeceased by his brothers Vincent and David.
Bill was born in China, immigrated to Canada in 1952 and settled in Hinton, before moving to Edmonton in 1978. He enjoyed many activities such as biking, swimming, walking and gardening.
Bill was a great supporter and active member of the Chinese community in Edmonton.
A viewing will take place 2 to 5 pm on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 16204 Fort Road (access only off 153 Avenue).
The funeral service will take place at 11 am on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Edmonton Christian Community Church, 8810-65 Ave NW with an interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 16102 Fort Road.
Reception to follow at 3 pm Emperor’s Palace Restaurant, 10638-100 St NW.
