OBITUARY
Bernard Patrick Terrence
March 13, 1940 – November 4, 2018
TERRENCE, Bernard – Unexpectedly on Sunday November 4, 2018. He was 78. He leaves his loving wife of 27 years, Maria (Blicharska) Terrence. Cherished father of Jennifer Hindle (Michael), Leslie Terrence, Liana Gallant (David), Kieran Terrence and Andrzej Terrence. Survived by 8 grandchildren, Bryen Barker, Patrick Barker (Kayla), Charlotte Thorn, Anna Terrence, Daniel Squirrell (Melanie), Sam Gallant, Avro Gallant and Henry Gallant and 3 great-grandchildren, Hazel, William and Martin. Bernard will also be missed by his sister Linda Terrence Cooke (Mike). Predeceased by his parents, Bernard W. and Marie Marguerite (Cousineau) Terrence and 2 sisters, Beverly Terrence and Jacqueline Shartrand (George). Bernie had a long and successful career as an architect working with federal government departments, Public Works, Parks Canada, Department of Foreign Affairs, National Capital Commission, National Defence Construction, as well as an architect in the private practice. He was an avid curler and past president of the Cornwall Curling Club. Friends and family will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Saturday from 9-10:30 am. Funeral Mass on Saturday November 10, 2018 at 11 am at St. Francis de Sales Church. Followed by cremation. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations (by cheque) to
the Hogansburg Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department (HAVFD) Station #2, 782 Island Road, Akwesasne, ON K6H 5R7 or St. Francis de Sales Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
