Peacefully, with his family by his side, Bernie Houle passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bernie grew up in Wabasca/Desmarais and eventually moved to Buffalo Lake in 1979 where he raised his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Mae, his three children Shannon, Jason (Nadia), Chris (Kelly) and his grandchildren Jada, Jace, Jed, Ryder, Stella and Shyne. He is also survived by his mother Louisa and his siblings, Don, Joe, May, Sharon, Adam and Valerie.
Bernie is predeceased by his father Henry and his sister Rita.
He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Bernie loved everything outdoors including hunting, fastball and golfing. He will always be remembered for his sense of humour and his ability to make everyone around him laugh. He was kind, gentle and truly loved all of his family and friends.
A Wake Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Buffalo Lake Community Hall. A Funeral Service will follow at the Buffalo Lake Community Hall on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.
