Obituary of Bernadette Sanders
SANDERS: Peacefully, at London Health Sciences Centre, Parkwood Hospital, London on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, surrounded by her family, Bernadette “Bernie” Jean (McKnight) Sanders, of London, formerly of Grand Bend, Winnipeg, Guelph, and Windsor, age 78. Beloved wife of the late Robert “Bob” Charles Sanders (2007). Loved mother of Bob and Lisa Sanders of Shallow Lake, Ontario, Greg and Cindy Sanders, Liana Sanders all of London, Brian Sanders and his wife Dr. Lisa Yang of Quispamsis, New Brunswick. Loving Nana of Branden, Caitlin (Robin), Sam, TJ, Marli, Madeleine, Alexis and Jasmine. She will be dearly missed by the McKnight and Sanders families. Predeceased by her parents William and Maude (Ridley) McKnight. Bernie/Mom/Nana will be most remembered for her extraordinary love of family, her special place for friends, and good times spent with all over cups of tea (and glasses of wine). At Bernie’s request cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, Ontario, Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. Presiding will be Bernie’s brother, Randy McKnight. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, Windsor on Sunday, July 22 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or L.H.S.C., Parkwood Hospital, Palliative Care Unit.
