SULLY, George Barry 1926 – 2018

Barry soldiered on for 92 years, and passed peacefully on July 17, 2018 surrounded by friends and family. Predeceased by Barbie, his wife of 69 years, and his eldest son Bruce. Survived by his loving children Jo (Tom), Jane (Bob), and Matt (Cathy). Also survived by grandchildren Sarah (Rock), Laura Jane (Nick) , Meredith (Mike), Fraser (Melissa), Charlotte (Ian), Alicia, Kira, and Ian, and great grandchildren Sophia, Leo, Lily, and Leah. Barry was a recognized expert in aerial photo interpretation, and will be remembered as a geography and forestry teacher, a story teller, and a true gentleman. He was a proud veteran of the Canadian Army and provided parachute training during WWII. Thank you to Dr. Gordon and the staff at The Grove in Arnprior. Donations would be welcomed by The Grove or a charity of your choice. Friends and family will gather at The Legion on Daniel Street in Arnprior on Saturday, July 21 1-3pm for a celebration of his life. Barry had an amazing life, and many of his stories were actually true!
