Obituary Overview
Brinklow (Ward), Barbara Jean
BRINKLOW (Ward), Barbara Jean
Age 63, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, in South Shore Regional Hospital, September 5, 2018. Barb was the youngest daughter of Allen and Avis (Langille) Ward. Barb spent her early years in Port Hawkesbury, Digby, and Fairview before moving to Truro to complete most of her education. In 1973 she entered the Victoria General School of Nursing and graduated as a R.N. in 1975.
Barb was a proud navy wife and lived in various cities in Ontario and Nova Scotia before settling in Dartmouth, NS. She had a contagious, hardy, laugh, and an infectious smile. She loved to spend her summers at her “happy place” at Lake Pleasant Campers Club (Spryfield, NS) with many good friends and nightly campfires. She is survived by her devoted husband, Steve, and recently celebrated her 40th wedding anniversary. She will be greatly missed by her daughters Tamara (Pierre) Gagnon, and Jeannette (Ryan) Blondin; grandchildren Jaelynne and Callen Gagnon, and Merrick Blondin; sisters Carol (Don) Kydd and Edith Ward. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 10:00am, at Cole Harbour Funeral Home, 1234 Cole Harbour Rd, Dartmouth.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gowan, palliative teams in Halifax and Bridgewater, and VON in Halifax Co. and Annapolis Co., and all the staff at South Shore for their outstanding care and kindness provided to Barb. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Barb can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, I.W.K. or a charity of your choice.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Barbara Jean Brinklow Ward 2018..
