Obituary of Audrey Cole
COLE: Peacefully, at University Hospital, London on Sunday, December 9, 2018, Audrey Anne (Schering) Cole joined her late husband Harold Owen Cole (2016) “on the flip side”. She leaves behind her precious mom Jenny Schering, brothers Tony Schering and Jack Schering, sisters Elly (Morris) Collver and Maria (Dave) Edwards, mother-in-law Beryl Cole, brother-in-law of Jim (Karen) Cole, Fern (Tom) Penstone, as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her dad Arie Schering, brothers Harry Schering, sister-in-law Pat Schering, brother-in-law Terry Walker and nephew Dale Schering. Audrey faced many medical challenges and met each with courage and determination to overcome. She thumbed her nose at Lupus, a double lung transplant and cancer, to hit the ski slopes in winter and the golf course in summer. A long time employee at London Life and Scotia McLeod, Audrey and Harold moved from London to Grand Bend to enjoy their retirement years but it was not to be. At Audrey’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Southcott Pines Club House, Lakeview Ave., Grand Bend, date and time to be announced. Please feel free to dress casually. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
