Arthur Reginald Bath
passed away on June 1, 2018 in
Creston, B.C.
at the age of 96 years.
Arthur was born on March 15, 1922 in Trail, B.C. to Albert
John and Anna Louise Bath (nee Van Varseveld) and raised
in Fruitvale, B.C. During WWII Art served his country in
Europe with the British Columbia Dragoons. On June 9,
1949 he married Phyllis Downie and they shared 63 years of
marriage until her death in 2011. He worked for Cominco in
Trail, B.C. and Calgary, Alberta, and when he retired moved
to Creston, B.C.
Art enjoyed many things but looking after his garden was
one of his favorites.
He is predeceased by his wife Phyllis; parents Albert and
Anna Bath; brothers Fred, John, and Albert Bath; and his
sister Louise Jones.
Art is survived by his son Robert; daughter Shirley (Bob)
Bruce all of Creston, B.C.; grandchildren Chris (Amy) Bruce
of Nanton, Alberta, and Stephanie (Brian) Baillargeon
of Dublin, California; great-grandchildren Brianna and
Zakhary Baillargeon, Kaleb and Tyler Bruce; brother Harold
(Fermina) Bath of Nelson, B.C.; sisters Gladys Parslow and
Hilda McInnes of Fruitvale, B.C.; sisters-in-law Doreen and
Pat Downie of Creston, B.C.; and many nieces and nephews.
