1932-2018
Ardeth Elma Burridge of Fredericton passed away peacefully on
October 7, 2018. She was born to the late Edgar T. and Janet Ball on
February 16, 1932, in New Maryland. She graduated from
Fredericton High School and was employed for several years by the New
Brunswick Civil Service Commission.
In 1953 she married Robert E. Burridge and they
lived happily together for sixty-five years. She is survived
by devoted husband Bob, children Stephen (Laura Doehring) of Ottawa,
Colin (Judy Nichol) of Courtenay, BC, and Lori Wishart (Paul) of
Calgary; grandchildren Ian, Owen, and Andrew Wishart; many nieces,
nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by brothers
Edgar C. and Alfred Ball.
Ardeth was quiet and modest, warm and generous, and
a genuinely good person. She was a wonderful
mother. She had a memorably lovely smile. She was
a faithful member of Brunswick St. Baptist Church for many
years.
Visitation will be at McAdam’s Funeral
Home, Wednesday, October 10, from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service
at Brunswick St. Baptist Church, Thursday, October 11 at 2 pm with a
reception to follow.
The family thanks the staff of Thomas Hall, Shannex
Parkland Fredericton, for their kind and professional care in the last
stages of Ardeth’s life.
Donations can be made in Ardeth’s memory
to the Brunswick Street Baptist Church, or a charity of the
