It is with great sadness, our family announces the passing of Antonio (Tony) Porco on September 13, 2018, at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC, after a brave battle with cancer. He is predeceased by his father Luigi Porco. Tony is survived by his mother Assunta, his loving wife Anna Maria of 41 years and his two sons Luigi and Anthony.
Tony came to Canada at the age of 16, he first arrived in Montreal and spent some time with his family in the city then moved to Trail BC with his parents. Tony moved to Victoria BC and called the city home for the last 49 years. Tony spent his working years as a hairdresser, he had his first job at Margo hair salon at Hillside Mall, then opened his first shop in Oak Bay and his final shop Tony’s Hair design in Colwood.
Tony dedicated his life to his family. He was a cherished only son who shared his love of family with his two sons. Tony brought life to every party, and laughter everywhere he went. He cherished his Italian heritage and his passion of soccer. His wife was his everything and his love was felt to the end.
“Tony you are our little butterfly, fly free”
