It is with saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Tony (Antonio) Bautista Ferrer on December 21, 2018 at the age of 79. He was born October 31st, 1939 in the Philippines, until he came to Hamilton, ON in 1970 where he lived the rest of his life. Tony will be profoundly missed by his wife and best friend of 48 years, Aida Ferrer. Loving and devoted dad to Claudine (Vartan) Dzerounian, and Nicole (Sean) Whitehouse. Cherished grandpa to Jasmine, Madeline, and Sophie. Tony was an active member of the Filipino community for many years, as well as a founding member of Hamilton’s Octagon Ballroom dancing group. He was a loving man who adored his family and loved to share his enthusiasm for music, food, and especially laughter with all those around him.
Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home – “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Thursday December 27 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass on Friday December 28 at St. Catherine of Siena, Our Lady of Lourdes, 416 Mohawk Rd E, Hamilton at 10:00 am followed by cremation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
