Anthony Alexander Tony Borovsky 1961 2018

Obituary of Anthony Borovsky
Age 57 of Mount Uniacke It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing (due to a fatal vehicle accident while on duty) of an incredible father, husband, friend, brother, son, and respected retired member of the RCMP. Born on January 21, 1961 in Oshawa, Ontario Tony was an avid hockey player and skier in the winter and spent his summers fishing on Lake Kashwakamac with his dad, Alex Borovsky, and spending time in Renforth, N.B. with family.
Tony graduated from Lakehead University Outdoor Recreation Program in 1986. After working with Canoe Canada for several years he chose to join the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and was very proud to be a member. Tony retired after 28 years of service, but knew that it was too soon to sit and relax so he joined the Provincial Government in the Fuel and Tobacco Division. Although he was only with this team for a shorter period of time than he had expected, Tony very much enjoyed this experience.
Tony leaves behind the love of his life, Suzanne and his three wonderful sons, Nicholas, Benjamin and Zachary. Tony’s family meant the world to him and together they felt most at home on the water fishing or kayaking and enjoying a scotch while telling stories by the campfire. Tony spent his precious spare time on the ice coaching Nicholas and Benjamin and many of their friends through the TASA Hockey Association. As well he spent many memorable days golfing with Zachary. They will forever cherish these great memories and his boys will honor the skills he taught them including how to cast a line, clean a fish, paddle a canoe, and how to love.
Tony will also be very sadly missed by his mom Sally Borovsky; sister, Susan (Chris) Robinson, Anne (Brad) Greentree; brother-in-law, Jim Horner; Mother-in-law, Marilyn Wright; Father-in-law/dear friend, Rod Arnold; sister-in-law, Sheri (Todd) Bartlett, and many nieces and nephews. Tony was pre-deceased by his father, Alex Borovsky, and sister, Colleen Horner.
Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, where visitation will take place on Thursday March 1 from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8p.m. Service will be held on Friday, March 2 at 11a.m. from the funeral home chapel, with reception to follow. Interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tony may be made to the Diabetes Association or Alzheimer’s Society.
