Anna Margaret “Anne” Angelone (Borsella)
ANGELONE, Anna (Anne) Margaret – Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at the age of 61. Beloved wife of Angelo (Len) for 40 years. Devoted mother of Adam (Pamela) and Amanda. Adored grandmother of Nicholas and Sebastien. Dear daughter of Clara and the late Renato Borsella. Dear sister of Renato, John and Vincent Borsella (Carole). She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and community. She will be especially missed by her faithful and loving dogs Baxter, Cooper, and Spencer. Anne was committed to the less fortunate in our community, especially children. She founded “Coats for Kids” in Niagara Falls, sponsored the Schools in Bloom Program, participated in Partners in the Sky for the Boys and Girls Club (parachute jumper), and most recently sponsored a golf program for children with limitations. Anne was involved with the Heart & Stroke Foundation as an official spokesperson, was on the Allocations Committee for the United Way of Niagara Falls, a supporter of the MS Society, Project Share, YWCA, the Mayor’s Accessibility Committee and other worthwhile causes. She established an endowment fund with the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority. She did public relations for Business and Professional Women of Niagara Falls and was a member of the League of Women Voters. Anne was also a Niagara Regional Councillor for a short term.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St., Niagara Falls, Ontario, on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and on Monday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Scapular Church, 6557 Thorold Stone Rd. Niagara Falls, Ontario on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to the either Canadian Diabetes Association or to Heart & Stroke Foundation.
