Anna Anastasius Shire August 16th 2018

We are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Anna, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully in the Regina Pasqua Hospital on Thursday, August 16, 2018. Anna was predeceased by her father Michael and mother Katherine; brother Martin Tusa; sisters Sr. Rosalia Tusa, Clara Ruhr and Mary Tusa; and granddaughter Brittany Anna Marie Sharp.
Left to celebrate her life are her husband Edmond of 66 years; sons Darrell (Donna) and Jason (Elle); daughters Bonnie (Ivan) Sharp and Rhonda (Ron) Forgues; 12 grandchildren Jessie (Stephanie), Tristan and Donavon Shire, Ryan (Chatelle) Sharp, Steven (Biet) Sharp, Justin Quaintance, Jacob, Joshua and Jewel Shire, Michael Forgues, Leanne Leuschen and Justin Forgues; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters Eva Melenchuk and Esther Tusa; brother Arnold (Larrissa) Tusa; sister-in-law Jeanne Tusa; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Anna was born on a farm near Cupar, SK. She attended Gregherd Elementary School and Stockholm High School. She moved to Regina in 1950 and worked at The Grey Nun’s Hospital in the pediatric ward, McLeod’s Department Store, Home Hardware, and retired from the Sherwood Co-op in 1995.
Anna was an excellent cook and baker. She was very talented in sewing, crocheting, and knitting. She was devoted to her family and her faith.
Anna was a very special woman. Her Love, Laughter and Generosity will be missed by all.
Private family graveside service was held in Riverside Memorial Park.
