It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Andrea Di Pietro at Regina Gardens Long Term Care Residence, Hamilton on Sunday, July 8, 2018 in his 96th year. Dear and loving husband for 69 years of Michelina (nee Mariani). Cherished father of Antonietta Lalli (Frank), Natale (Angela nee Stanziani), and Domenico (Lucia nee Sottana). Proud nonno of Robert, Daniel, Michelle, Julie, Daniela, Andrew, Christina, Stephen, Laura, and Michael. Bisnonno of 10 greatgrandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Angelantonio and Maria Antonia. Dear brother and brotherin- law to the late Valleriano and Maria, the late Carlo and Caterina, Paolina and the late Alfonso, Lina and the late Ernesto, Anna and Umberto Iachetti, the late Mario, Ida and the late Diego, the late Sergio and Lina, Ada and the late Giacomo, Margherita and Giovanni, Giovanna and Vincenzo, the late Guido and Elisabetta, and Lorenzo and Adele. Andrea will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews in Canada, Belgium, and Italy, as well as his extended family and friends. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Regina Gardens for their abundant care, generosity and loving kindness shown to him during his time with them. Visitation at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East, Hamilton, on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 165 Prospect St. N., Hamilton on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, 600 Spring Gardens Rd., Burlington. If desired, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
