Obituary for Alfred “Fred” Schonenberger
Schonenberger, Fred:
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Sunnyside Home at the age of 90.
Happily married to his beloved wife Theresia for 63 years.
Loving Father (Bup) to Paul (Kathy) and Ingrid (Graham) Bishop.
Cherished Opa to Nicholas (Shelby), Craig (Jenny), Jake, Ashley and Ryan.
He will be missed by his brother Paul (Hildegard) and sister Pia and their families and brothers-in-law Les (Gail) and Wendell (Madeleine) and their families.
A special thank you to the staff of Shantz Hill at Sunnyside Home for all their care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place.
Fred’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2 – 3:15 p.m on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A memorial service will take place in the chapel at 3:30 p.m. Reception to follow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Sunnyside Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
