With deep sorrow and profound sadness, we, the family of Garfield Alexander LeBlanc, announce his passing on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at the Northside General Hospital, with his family by his side.
Alex worked as an emergency room nurse at Harbour View Hospital, Sydney Mines, and the Northside General Hospital until his retirement.
Left to mourn his loss is his wife Beverly, son Mark (Kelly), daughters Mary and Michele (Michael), sisters Ann Meehan (Harold), Selica McPhearson (Greggor), and Joan MacDonald (Ian), 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandsons, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents Garfield LeBlanc and Mary-Ellen Pendergast, he was predeceased by son Michael, brothers Barry and John and sister Sheila.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or, with Fr. Peter McLeod officiating. Words of comfort may be forwarded to his family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
