HORROCKS, Albert Edward
Peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on Tuesday, February 27, in his 82nd year. Predeceased by his parents William and Bernice (nee Hillier) Horrocks, and his wives Marilyn and Millie. Beloved husband of Betty Horrocks Lovingly remembered by his daughter Susan Healey (Steve) and their sons Mike (Amanda) and Pat and their grand-children Grayson and Julian. Sadly missed by his step-daughter Darlene Homer (Tim) and children Danielle (Dan), Deanna (Neil), Paul (Kaitlyn), Trevor (Tracey) and families. Predeceased by his sisters Lillian, Marion and brothers, John, Terry, Hillier and Anson. Also remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends.
The family extends sincere gratitude to the staff at the Kingston General Hospital as well as all of Ab`s caregivers at Rosewood Retirement Centre and Arbour Heights Long Term Care Facility, and to (all those favourites….. you know who you are!)
The family will receive family and friends at the Township Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes 435 Davis Drive (Centennial at Taylor-Kidd) on Monday March 5 from 10 am to 11 am. The funeral service in celebration of his life will be held in our chapel on Monday at 11 a.m. Major David McNeilly Officiating.
A reception will follow the funeral. The family will gather for interment prayers at St. Mary`s Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
Memorial donations, for those wishing, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the UHKF – Kingston Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario.
