Obituary for
Aiden Heffernan
HEFFERNAN, AIDEN FRANCIS – Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the L.A. Miller Centre, on July 26, 2018, Aiden Francis Heffernan, of Mt. Pearl, NL at the age of 65. Predeceased by his parents: William and Agatha Heffernan; his brother Ronald; nephew Jack Heffernan and father-in-law: Patrick Parsons. He will always be loved and remembered by his devoted wife of 40 years, Theresa and sons: Chad (Heather) and Larry (Pam); grandchildren: Noelle, Lucas, Logan and Anna. Also leaving to mourn his brothers: Bill, Ray (Donna); sisters: Elaine Walters (Wayne) and Janet Brown (Don);his mother-in-law: Gertrude Parsons; sisters-in-law: Bernadette Connors (Gary), Catherine Manning (Darryl), Margaret Burke (Gerald Stoyles), Michelle McGrath (Kenny), Madonna O’Rielly and brothers-in-law: Patrick Parsons (Christine) and Richard Parsons (Joanne). He will also be missed by many extended family members, and friends, especially his good friend Bernie Burton.
Aiden will be remembered for his generous spirit, his easy going disposition and sense of humor. He remained courageous and selfless throughout his illness and was a source of inspiration to all who spent time with him.
The family will be forever grateful to his home care nurse Alana Snow for her kindness and compassion. Angels come in many forms and she is one of them. Also, many thanks to the Palliative Care Team at the L.A. Miller Centre for the care and comfort they provided to Aiden.
At Aiden’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 29th, 2018 from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel, Mt. Pearl on Monday, July 30th, 2018. at 1:00 pm.
