THOMAS, Abraham Scott
July 24, 1956 – March 20, 2018
Sadly on March 20, 2018; age 61 years. Loving husband of Virginia Thomas (née Thompson). Beloved father of Scott Thompson (Krissy), Tommy Thomas and the late Autumn White. Cherished grandfather of Parker and Kamry. Dear brother of Vicki (Tony Jr.), Eileen, Sharon (James), Robert and Louis (Rachel). Predeceased by his parents Abraham and Hazel (née White) Thomas. Also predeceased by his brother David Thomas and his infant brother Russell. Abraham graduated from Sir James Whitney High School in Belleville. He was an Avid Montreal Canadiens Fan. Enjoyed playing Lacrosse and won the 1982 Presidents Cup with the Warriors, also a member of the Akwesasne Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Played hockey with The Broken Blades. Abraham enjoyed spending time and watching his sons and grandchildren play sports. Abraham of the Snipe Clan will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of LAHAIE & SULLIVAN CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482). Visitation will be held at the Homemakers Centre in Snye from 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018 until time of Service on Monday. Funeral Monday, March 26, 2018 for Mass of Christian Burial in St. Regis Catholic Church at 1:30 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to Akwesasne Ambulance would be appreciated by the family.
