Sharon Lynn Anstett passed away on April 4, 2025, at Tiverton Park Manor – Huron Shores Hospice in her 68th year. Sharon was born on March 28, 1958, and though she left us too soon, her memory will forever be cherished with love, warmth, and deep gratitude.
Sharon was the beloved Daughter of the late George and Jean (Parker) Anstett and a cherished Sister to Robert (Chris), Roland, Donna (Steve), Laurie (Gerry). She now joins her late brother Rick in eternal rest. Sharon was a devoted Aunt to Neil (Amelia), Keith (Jennifer), and Rachel Anstett; Jamie (Charlene) Parker; Mikayla (Steve) Keller; and the late Carla (Matt) Knowles. She was also a loving Sister-In-Law to Sherry Anstett and a proud Great-Aunt to Everett, Duncan, and Meredith Anstett, Michael Minne, Leeanne, Ben, Katy, and Alivia Parker, Bennett and Harvey Keller.
A devout Catholic, Sharon’s faith was a guiding light throughout her life, bringing her comfort and strength and inspiring those around her. She faced the past few years with incredible courage and grace as she battled cancer, never letting it diminish her warmth, her kindness, or her deep love for those around her.
With a heart as vast as her legendary coconut cream pies—topped with meringue as towering as the Eiffel Tower—she was a masterful cook and baker. She lovingly prepared family treasures like Grandma Anstett’s turkey dressing, bringing joy and togetherness to countless family gatherings.
A passionate supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Blue Jays, and Raptors, Sharon never missed a game. She eagerly shared the latest scores and highlights, ensuring that anyone who asked was always in the know.
Following her mother’s passing in 2004, Sharon embraced a new chapter in Walkerton, where she built a life defined by independence, community, and compassion. Her work at the Second Hand Rose and her dedication to running breakfast programs at local schools touched the lives of many children, reflecting her generous spirit and unwavering commitment to others. Sharon had an extraordinary gift for forming lasting friendships and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Tiverton Park Manor – Huron Shores Hospice for their kindness, compassion, and support for Sharon in her final months. Your care meant so much to her and to all of us.
Though a quiet soul, her love, faith, and generosity resonated powerfully with all who knew her. Sharon’s warmth, laughter, and gentle spirit will continue to live on in our hearts. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Rest peacefully in God’s eternal salvation, Sharon.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Fr. Leszek Szczygiel officiating. Reception in the Sacred Heart Parish Hall to follow.
Private family interment in Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Chepstow.
