Obituary of James Ernest Lund
Surrounded by the love of his family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, January 20, 2025, the death occurred peacefully of James “Jim” Ernest Lund of Lakeside Beach and formerly of Bethel, age 81 years. Beloved husband of Dawna (Steeves) Lund for 53 years. Loving father of Chris Lund (Kara) and Keri Fudge (Trent). Cherished grandfather of Kenzie Lund (Kyle), Kady Lund, Kaitlyn Fudge and Josh Fudge. Jim will be missed by his brother Charles « Chuck » Lund (Lorraine) and sister-in-law Carol McWilliam. Uncle of Kelly, Greg, and Bethany Lund and also David McWilliam. Predeceased by his parents Percy and Marion (Jenkins) Lund; brother Winston; sister-in-law Debbie Wood (Richard), brothers-in-law Keith Steeves and John McWilliam and mother-in-law Florence (Campbell) Steeves,Cassidy.
Jim very much enjoyed his 32 years working as an entomology technician at Agriculture Canada and had just as many years of retirement with his hobbies of growing various shrubs and woodworking, with a few games of bridge and lots of time soaking up the sun at the beach, thrown in for good measure.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home. There will be no visitation or funeral service by personal request. In memory of Jim, his family would like you to share a little kindness with hopes of creating a more peaceful world.
