David G. Warren
1970-2025
David Garnet Warren of Peel passed away peacefully with his family by
his side at the Upper River Valley Hospital on the morning of January
18, 2025. David was born on February 17, 1970, in Bath. He was the son
of the late Don and Mabel (Murray) Warren.
David is survived by his wife, Amy Warren, and his three children,
Lana (Dillan), Matt (Emma), and John (Katilyn), and one grandchild,
Sophia.
David was known as a boss, coworker, friend, grandpa, husband, and
dad, but no matter how you knew him, he always had the ability to make
a profound impact on those around him. Whether it was his constant
teasing or his ‘catchphrases,’ one could always know David Warren was
around. David worked at McCain Foods for 23 years and at the Upper
River Valley Hospital for 8 years. At the URVH, he was the manager of
the MDR Department. Those jobs were a small part of David’s life, but
the thing he held most sacred to him was his family. Anyone who has
talked to David would know his world revolves around hockey and his
family. David is the definition of a family man. He lived and breathed
for his family, and any amount of free time he had was spent at a
rink. All his vacation time was spent on family road trips to
whichever corner of the province. He travels across Atlantic Canada to
watch his two sons play hockey and was accompanied by Amy and Dolly
(Lana). David was a man of principle and always lived by a motto of
honour and accountability. He will be missed by many.
Due to David’s deteriorating health, there was a massive team around
him who took great care of him. The Warren family would like to thank
Dr. Marco and staff, and Dr. Bewick and his staff. In addition, we
would like to thank the Upper River Valley Hospital staff for their
spectacular work with David. In extension to the URVH, thank you to
the Extramural team, which made countless trips to his home and worked
tirelessly to ensure he was taken care of. When saying thank you for
all of the care provided, you cannot forget about his wife Amy. She
loved him to the end and would do it many times over if she could.
David and Amy have a special connection and love for one another that
is truly one of a kind.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from
12:00 – 2:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm. Rev. Toben
Steeves will officiate. For those who wish, memorial donations made to
the Carleton Minor Hockey Association would be appreciated.
