It is with great
sadness that the family of Walter « Wally » Brooks announce
his passing at the Advent Health Celebration Hospital in Celebration,
Florida on Tuesday, January 10th, 2023. Born in
Fredericton on January 4th, 1967, he was a son
of the late Mark Albert Brooks and Mary Ernestine (Meuse)
Brooks.
Wally was the long
time manager of the St. Mary’s Entertainment Center. He
enjoyed travelling, 4 wheeling, and playing poker. Wally loved having
lots of people around at his camp in Yoho. He was a passionate
Montreal Canadians fan.
He is survived by his
loving wife Barb; his son Ashton; step-daughters Shyanne Paul
(Anthony) and Courtney Paul (Cameron); step granddaughter Sabrina
Chase; a god-son Owen Brooks; a god-daughter Olivia Paul; siblings
Cindy Brooks (Sheldon), Gordon « Nut » Nash (Susan), Stephen
« Stomper » Nash (Jennifer), Linda Verruyt (Bart), Frank
Brooks (Lorraine), Randy Brooks (Sheila), Alice Paul, Mark Brooks Jr.,
Sandra Adamen, Tom Brooks (Phyllis), William Brooks (Stella), Cecil
Brooks (Laurie), Ida Henry (Daniel), Arnold Brooks, Richard Brooks,
Dion Brooks (Heather), Dana Brooks (Willa), Toby Brooks (April), Billy
Brooks (Jeannie); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; his long time
friends Claudine Paul and Chris Paul. He was also predeceased by
brother, Patrick « Trackie » Brooks (Barb); sister Dorothy
Hansen; sister-in-law Jeannie Brooks; and god-son Tyler
Brooks.
Bishop’s
Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road have been entrusted with the
arrangements. Final funeral arrangements will be announced in the
coming days. For those who wish, contributions to the NB Heart
& Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be
appreciated by the family.
