T. Yvonne Dundas
February 23, 1936 – February 16, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mom, Yvonne Dundas. Mom was born in Naramata BC to Roy and Betty Partridge. She grew up in Naramata before joining the RCAF.
Mom married our Dad, Alan Dundas, in 1957 while both were serving in France. Upon leaving the RCAF in 1969, they lived most of their lives in the Okanagan while raising three children. Upon retirement the adventurous couple travelled North America in their RV for a few years before returning to the Okanagan in 2004 and settling in Oliver.
Sadly Dad predeceased Mom in October 2011, after 54 years together. An angel has left this world, leaving many happy memories for us to cherish. Mom was very loving, kind and giving. Animals held a special place in her heart and our home always had many treasured pets. Mom was a very talented quilter and was a devoted member of the Double O Quilters. She enjoyed her time with the quilting ladies and was proud of their contributions to the Oliver community.
Mom is survived by her loving family, daughter Shirley Freeman (Gil), sons Dale Dundas (Don), Terry Dundas (Lillian), grandchildren Kyle Freeman (Melissa), Roy Dundas, April Beal (Drew), great grandsons Donovan and Sebastian Beal. She is also survived by her sister Sheila Matheson, brother Terry Partridge, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
