God called Salvatore “Sam” Scarmozzino peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on December 18, 2023, at the age of 91. He will be forever missed by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Antonia. Cherished by his dear children, Marino (Sarina), Pino (Laura), and Marie (Joe). Proud Nonno to Salvatore, Cassandra, Sofia, Vanessa, Mark, Julia and Ava. Salvatore will always be remembered by his brother Domenico, and sister Rosina as well as his beloved sisters-in-law Teresa (late Vince), Sara (late Vince), Carmela (Frank), and Natalie (Sam) and his brother-in-law Cosmo. Salvatore is reunited in Heaven with his parents Marino and Maria Antonia, and his beloved siblings Giulia, Frank, Giuseppina, Domenica, Cesira, and Giuseppe. He will be held dear in the hearts of his family, relatives, and many friends. If so desired, donations in memory of Salvatore may be made to Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital. The Scarmozzino family, with gratitude, would like to thank all the wonderful, compassionate, and caring staff at Cortellucci Hospital, a very special thanks to Dr. Berger and Dr. Richler for their unwavering support and care during this very difficult time. It will never be forgotten.
Visitation will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Friday, December 22, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
The Funeral Service will be celebrated promptly following the visitation period on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Vescio Funeral Home – Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd., north of Hwy 7., 905-850-3332.). Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (on Hwy 27, South of Hwy 7).
