It is with immense sadness that the family announces his passing at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Wednesday December 18th 2024, at the age of 56 years.
He was predeceased by his wife Chris Farnell-Nodder and parents Thomas and Eva Nodder. Devoted and proud father of Nicholas and Teagan Nodder. Also survived by his siblings Richard (Sue-Ann), Rob (Julie), Ron (Patricia) and Randy (Nicole). He will be lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his furry companions, Stan the Man, Caramel and Athena.
Russ was a construction electrician and a member of IBEW 1687 for over twenty years. He was an avid, skilled skeet shooter and was a member of the Rockcut Shooting club and Eagle Lake Gun club, where he enjoyed spending most days.
He will be missed by many of his fellow friends and members including Les, John, Fritz, Kirk and many more. Russ will forever be remembered for his heart of gold. He was always just a phone call away and willing to help out friends and family in need. He was a man that you could rely on to have an answer to any problem.
As per his wishes, there will be no visitation, and cremation will be taking place. There will be a Celebration of Life in the near future, date and location to be determined. A graveside interment will be held at Holy Cross cemetery in the spring.
Donations to the Canadian Coalition for Firearm Rights, All Heart Pet Rescue or Powassan food bank in memory of Russell will be gratefully acknowledged by his family. Online condolences at www.hillsidefuneral.ca
