Richard’s Obituary
It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Richard, peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital, on March 16th, 2024. Richard was 78 years of age. Beloved husband of Cherrille Cross (nee. Griffiths). Loved brother of Janet (the late Tony) and Linda (Gary), and brother-in-law to Julia (Albert) and Jonathon, of the UK. Richard was a dearly beloved uncle to Helen, Christine, and Jaqi, and many other nieces and nephews in the UK. The nieces and nephews always enjoyed getting together with Richard and Cherrille on their frequent visits to the UK. Richard is predeceased by his brother David (Irene, of New Zealand). He will be dearly missed by many extended family members and friends.
Richard enjoyed an active life, especially golfing and socializing with his buddies. He will be missed by numerous special friends in the area. Cherille would like to extend her heartfelt thanks to friends for their love and support during this difficult time.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL FUNERAL HOME. In accordance with Richard’s wishes, cremation has already taken place. A time and place for a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Donations to the Brant County SPCA or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
